The spring tour is going South East France and I'm trying to plan where to go...

Has anyone spent any time in Marseille?

If so can you give your views on what is worth seeing and where to stay?

And if you are going to tell a horror story can it be based on your own experience (and not on watching Ross Kemp).

Thanks as always :thumb::thumb:

Marseilles

We stayed on a campsite near Aix en Provence and got the train into Marseilles. There are some very good African resteraunts near the port.
Did not feel threatened at any time.

We stayed at a campsite Le Yotel at Port Grimaud while visiting Mrs Colpots Sister who lives there. We did have to do a bit of negotiating as it was September and, in spite of e-mail confirmation the Campsite were surprised to see us. But after we promised to empty our chemical toilet at the Aire down the road and not on site we were allowed to stay.
The best of it was Mrs Colpot's Sister had no idea were we visiting and the look on her Husbands face was priceless (in a good way) when he opened the door to us.
It is a lovely place.

Thanks guys.

I'm worried I might get splinters if I carry on sitting on the fence.

Train into town - that's sounds like a solution.
