Hi folks
I'm sorry to say but you're looking at run-down seaside towns in both cases.
Both are embarking on re-generation programs which are long overdue, both sea fronts are awaiting investment and there's very little for children outside of the amusement arcades. The only parking suitable for m/homes in margate has a funfair on it this weekend, though i can't see them being busy as the sea was coming over the wall today and it's forcast rough and cold all weekend.
Personally i'd stay at the C&CC site in Canterbury and have a look around there.

nb I may have a jaundiced eye.....i work for thanet council!!!

regards...nige

We've just spent a great winter in Kent. Don't know how old your kids are but Folkestone has just THE most fantastic adventure playground in the gardens on the front (free). If you're in a smaller camper than ours the C & CC site is right on the coast, not much of a beach but interesting. You can walk along the 'front' to Dover etc. Folkestone Black Horse Site is absolutely superb and within easy distance from Dover, Deal, Sandwich etc and the Eurotunnel and ferries as is the C & CC Canterbury Site. A couple of wild animal parks within reach of any of the above. OK the actual seaside towns are on a par with seaside towns anywhere, but everywhere in Kent is easy reach.

Enjoy, wherever you land.

Hi Jan,
Thanx for that:thumb:
Not sure which way to go now, Think we'll see which way the wind blows the van::bigsmile:
If we do head that way will call in to some of the places you mentioned, sounds like you had a great time.

Happy Travels.

Hi Dawn
Wonder just where you did end up and how much snow? We're in Lincolnshire and were out building snowmen this morning! Happy Easter!
