Another good thing about this app is it can load any .kml file you have, though for me the pin for the POI is always red.
Have got round this now by creating my own .kml files using a python script (I'm a programmer which helps!) so I can select any colour that Maps.me supports and then saving the .kml to the location Maps.me uses to store .kml file.
Best offline mapping app I've found that supports POIs, another good free offline map for Android is Navfree, though they don't support POIs yet.
