Maplins.. Poor service

Can't find a Company Report forum so I put this here:

I ordered cable and connectors from Maplins 'on line store' on Tues 12th but still hadn't received them by today, so I called customer service and was informed that my order would be dispatched today.. :Angry:.. I asked why the delay and was told it was due to a warehouse problem.. but they would be with me by Monday .. :Angry:
I think this is really poor service, I was hoping to do the work this weekend, more time wasted, I would have driven to the nearest store if I'd known how long it was going to take.. :RollEyes:

Try littlewoods ordered furniture in June and told 6 weeks wait at the end of this told flooding was holding things up in October told lost better reorder but 6 weeks wait:Doh::cry:so cancelled and went to local firm.

Big firms are awful:Doh:

In all fairness Maplins are normally good but it's just so annoying when you they let you down.. :Angry:

Well, Day 9 and still no delivery so I called customer servicies AGAIN :Angry:

More excuses and a promise of dispatch ASAP.. hmm ... so, I demand to speak to a supervisor and duly logged a complaint, but got promise of immediate dispatch..

an answer to an earlier email enquiry finally arrived..

Dear Mr Allan

I apologise for the delayed reply.
Your order is showing to have been awaiting despatch since the 13th November. I can see from your details that this has been passed to a supervisor for follow up.

They will now chase your order and make sure it is despatched with out any further delay.

Hi Jim I have applied for us to become affiliates so we can sell Maplins stuff through this site and earn a whopping 1.5%- 2.%. on sales They haven't approved us yet, but I am wondering whether we should bother now!

Im hoping this is an isolated case which they said was due to them moving warehouses.. but that's no consolation when your waiting for parts .. :RollEyes:
