Map recommendation for Germany (Bavaria) please?

Can anyone recommend a good value map for Bavaria please? We will be using GPS primarily but nothing like 'the big picture' when technology fails

I am asking the same question in the 'Italy' forum regarding Northern Italy too

Falk - German maps, easy to use and read. Best maps for Germany. You can buy them online or just wait till your cross the border and go into the first motorway rastatte. I would also use their maps of Italy.

When I was in Germany last year I purchased an ADAC set for around 15 euro covering the whole country. I cannot see them on the Map shop site but they do have a lot of maps for all over the world. Broken Link Removed

I've used the Michelin maps which I found excellent.

We have the Benelux Michelin map which is large scale for germany, but coheres belgium. Austria, Holland switzerland and Czech

We also like the Michelin map books and there is one for the whole of Germany not just Benelux.
