I'm not winning!

I managed to somehow break the rubber seal around the oven door. It's a funny seal as it goes right across the top, and half way down each side. It doesn't go all the way around?! Anyway, I somehow snapped off one of the pins holding it in place in the top corner.

Anyone know where I can get spares for an old Thetford Spinflo OV40000 oven?

After that incident then, on the way home I hit a large bump or pothole in the road and heard a noise in the back.

Turns out the glass panel on the front of the oven has tried to escape!

The left hand side has somehow detached itself and is hanging loose. The right side is still attached. So well in fact, that I can't even see how it undoes!

Anyone know how to remove - refit these panels??

Sorry to bump my own thread  but does anyone know how this glass panel attaches or removes? And does anyone know where I might source a replacement door rubber seal?

Since 2005 ish
Try Autocraftmotorcaravans for the spares, i believe the glass panel is glued to a springclip (it was on our Swift) ours also fell off on one side but tbh i never managed to get the sodding thing to stick back on properly. Tried alsorts of glues and double sided tape.

Thanks @highwayman

I'll try some epoxy / Araldite, that normally sticks the proverbial to the blanket! But any ideas how to get the entire panel off? Is it just spring clips? Do I just need to pull harder on the remaining side to free the whole lot?

Thanks for the Autocraftmotorcaravans cue too, I'll drop them an email :)

I think you pull the gas knob off and it should unclip. ( can't be certain memory was never great when i was young !!!!) have a look with a torch you should be able to see the clips.
Cheers. Nige

Autocraftmotorcaravans never replied to my emails, I'll ring them in the week.

Will be tinkering in the van this weekend so will report back on the glass panel!

OK, heads up people, do NOT pull the front glass panel on these ovens!

They are not spring clipped in place, they are screwed in from behind

I undid all the screws holding the oven in place and was able to slide it out a couple of inches, just enough for me to contort myself in to a position where I could get a stumpy screwdriver in behind the gap to tighten it up (y)

Just need to track down an oven rubber door seal now.

LEISURE SPARES Ltd to the rescue for the door seal - http://www.leisurespares.co.uk/

(autocraftmotorcaravans recommended above were unable to help)

They asked me to email them a photo of the 'plate' with the serial number etc on and less than 19 hours later a new rubber door seal arrived in the post!!

Cost was £20.92 (delivered).

Look out - I can cook again :D2
