Jim ..I'm being cheeky here, sorry, but is there any chance they would let you have the grassy stretch on the other side of the fence on the drive up to the entrance gate to Fun field?

Have they moved which field fun is in? I know it's a year or two since I helped to marshal but I thought we had more vans than that on? (very top left hand corner of the showground)

I would not think it’s a different field, as for numbers I have no idea what the limit is for the field. I guess the fire service or safety man set the numbers.

The year before last we were one of the late arrivals and ended up right at the back, there wasn't a lot of room left (I think we had a 150 limit then) so the marshals have to get it right as there is nowhere else to go.

We did General Camping the first time we met (before MHF membership) and it was miles from the show.

the more I think about it the more I'm wondering if that's an answer.... I've just rung warners, they've not finally decided where all the clubs will be parked yet so not sure if that would be worth it or not (& no they won't extend numbers for fun - had to ask didn't I )

I've not looked but assume the subs are the same as Fun?

EDIT: I should've looked on RVOC 1st - doesn't look like they are attending

It’s usually near fun , and it will be on solid ground with room to manoeuvre. My guess would be near the buildings/sheds.

Ive looked on RVOCs website & there's no mention of them rallying, there was a thread but doesn't look as though anyone wanted to marshal.

I'm still dithering now I know Id have to opt for general camping (I am supposed to be at Southport show on the saturday)

I've got a few days yet to dither some more

Only mentioned because we thought we were going to meet someone but they've told us they're not going. There used to be a page of RSVP's but can't find one for this meet - unless it's been moved somewhere else?
