Could have worded the title better, what I mean is I find it much better posting a reply on the same page in your very own "ready" box, what's more, once posted, the back button doesn't take you back to your reply box as on the old forum.

Hands up those who understood any of that.

It's great. It took me a few minutes to work out the procedure for quoting previous posts but that's great now too (y)(y)
Took me about a week, but having webbed feet (common in Suffolk) made it a bit hard to do.........

Still not mastered Multi quote, but I agree it is much better than the old software

Hit the 'Multi-Quote button on each of the replies you want to quote.
Then hit the 'Insert Quotes' button to ...well...insert the quotes (y)
Easy peasy :)

Not a Scooby what that is about.
The old style forum has gome walkabout again & I cant find how to start a new thread to ask.
The reply button has also dissapeared from the bottom of posts.
I give up.

Do you not have a 'Post Reply' box & button at bottom of the thread?

Here's the button to start a new thread - top right of the screen on the home page of each forum.

got to forums, select the appropriate sub section then click post new thread
post reply now at the bottom of the reply box. As simple as that, you just need to look harder and be prepared to see different labels to those you are used to.

Yes, I see that thanks, its changed again, there was a reply button at the bottom of each post but it's gone now.
Also in the quick links dropdown was a button for the old style layout which has also gone.

Yup - know what you mean & definitely agree. Much better than before. I don't think everyone uses the browser back button after they have posted, which might explain the confusion.

Overall, it takes a bit of getting used to & you have to be prepared to push a few buttons to see just what they do, but you can't exactly break anything, so why not. All part of the FUN.

There are a few things I haven't worked out yet, but it's clear that this software is streets ahead of the old lot. (y)

Norfolk is worse...... Some very strange folk live there....

Remember the doctors notes abbreviations? NFN!

I was going to mention that very place, however, I have made many enemies there recently, and there is a bounty on my person, so I thought it better not to mention their dubious habits with sea food.:)

Works for me Janine.

..and for me but apparently not for Jay.

He can't see the new thread button that I put on my screen capture or the reply box at the bottom of the thread hence my asking whether he had paid his subs rather than viewing as a 'Read Only' Funster.

What dubious habits? Nothing to do with fishermen and skate, is it? Strange goings on up there........

If you click on 'Forums' on the home page, then 'Website Help' do you see the 'Post New Thread' on the right-hand side like this?:
