My motorhome (Giottiline Siena 385) has a door-bin, its basically integrated in the door which is super useful but the opening is smaller then the actual bin base, so it actually gets much smaller at the top. If the bin bag is somewhat full you cant get it out without ripping the bin bag because you have to "pull" it through a smaller opening with a sharp plastic rim, risking that some rubbish falls back in the bin and the bag ends up torn which is less then ideal.

Is there either some form of inset for these door bins to ensure the bag comes out in a straight line and doesn't rip or do you have any other ideas on a DIY solution? I believe there are several other models with similar door bins, perhaps any of you have come across this issue before?

Any help would be appreciated..

Looks like the same as the one in my Adria. Some have modified it by removing the screws holding the bin and replacing with velcro straps which allows you to pull the bin fron off.

I had the same problem in my Chausson 510 a few years ago. I used a piece of shaped plywood to make the bin equal all round, simple. A cardboard template would help you get the correct shape. Best of luck

Buy smaller bags which fit the top snuggly then they can't get too wide to come out.

That's exactly what I do with the same bin that's fitted to my Chausson 530. Got to agree it's a bit of a daft design.

That looks similar to what we had in the auto sleeper. We just used to hang a carrier bag into it & never let it get too full. Often the bag ended up on the internal step. We had a look at a couple of other makes with similar bins - did tackle the guy at Brownhills about it - that one was an Adria. He didnt really seem to understand the problem!!!
