Mains Input was working fine on EHU up until yesterday when the mains warning light started to flash on the panel. Went to site EHU post and changed sockets thinking maybe the breaker had flipped. Still no joy.

Got the site guy to check the post - all good. I then metered my end of my cable and is showing 230v.

There is a kettle connector feeding into the blue Shaudt box which I believe is the mains input. This is not showing any voltage suggesting that the problem lies between the external EHU socket on the van and the kettle connector. The cable appears to run under the floor and I presume there wouldn't be any fuses or breakers in the line or any junctions.

The van is a 2011 Adria Coral wand AFAIK we haven't had and problems with the EHU previously.

Any suggestions?

Cheers

The cable to the EBL should go straight back to the consumer unit, have you checked the MCB & the RCD?

Do you have mains at your sockets or is it just the EBL that has no power?

The light on the control panel is fed from the charging circuit on the EBL. So if there is power elsewhere it could just be the charger not working.

AFAIK there is no Consumer Unit / RCD in the van (or if there is I haven't seen it!)

I presume you mean the RCD/CU on the EHU site post which has been checked and is fine. We checked one socket in the van with toothbrush charger and it appeared not to work. I will check again this morning.

If there is a cut-out switch in the camper it doesn't appear to be in the area where the EBL is so presumably would be in the seat box where the EHU plugs in (under a heavy king size mattress - Doh!)

Cheers

Sorted! Found the RCD buried under all the crap that 'er indoors stuffs in the bottom of the wardrobe. I don't remember even seeing it in the 9 years we have owned the van. 🤔

We had a thunderstorm the night before last and she also stuffed the umbrella back in the wardrobe yesterday morning just before we noticed the outage - I guess either could be guilty.

You learn something new every day.

Cheers for your help Lenny.

Well at least now you will be able to press the Test button periodically lol.

On the subject of checking fuses I have replaced all mine (car and van) with LED versions of same. If one should blow it lights up and can be seen immediately without playing 'hunt the fuse'. They are available in Halfords etc. but cheaper on eBay.
