I fear it's probably not magic, but we've just started using the space heating from our Truma CP Plus, now we're on our way back from Spain. We seem to be getting hot water from the taps whenever the space heating is running, but with the hot water switched off. Can anyone shed any light?

That's normal it's supposed to do it, with just the heating turned on it takes a lot longer to get fully up to temperature about 1½ hours.

:censored: Really? Weird. I mean I'm glad it's not a fault, but it's a bit odd. It seems to get a lot hotter than when we just had hot water selected but no space heating. Which is also a bit strange.

I have a similar issue with my home! If i run the oil central heating without the hot water 'on'......My hot water tank is rather ......Hot? No complaints but ...I have a switch to say 'Hot water on' or 'Off?'....... Its off!
Perhaps its magic?..................or....................Is My controller shot!

it will as without hot water selected its running on the heating thermostat and just like at home your hot water is usually max 50 and your heating flow set at above 60

The heater is right next to the water tank in the unit so having the warm air blow heating on heats up the water tank next to it eventually….😎

Depends which setting you have been using for hot water.
The ECO (used to be labeled 40°) is naff the thermostat has a large hysteris once it's up to temp (40°) boiler won't switch back on until water drops below 27°.

I fully agree with Lenny, the hysteris on our Truma Combi4 is terrible. I can run about 3 litres for washing up and about ten minutes later the boiler comes back on. Either a very poor quality or poorly positioned thermostat. Yet another example of the low quality of equipment used by the leisure industry manufacturers.

Yes, my Truma gets the water real hot when on heating

The much older C6002/4002 handled the hot water much better we could both get a shower on the 40° setting can't do that on a C6/C4. However the heating side works much better on the C6/C4.
