My magic eye got broken...probably heavy handling by me.
I opened the plastic covers and found that 3 wires had un-soldered themselves from the tiny circuit board. I re-soldered them and the eye worked again, but picture and sound not as good as before.
So, ordered replacement off ebay, connected it, and it didn't work, even though the indicator led illuminated. But, wait...after approx 15 mins it did work. This same not working then wait 15 mins happens everytime I switch the system off for the night.
I got in touch with the ebay supplier, he sent me a replacement, and guess what ?...The replacement eye is behaving exactly the same.
I'm not doing anything different with the 2 new eyes...same place in the wiring as the broken one.
The broken re-soldered one has no markings / makers name on it, or I would've sourced the same.
Is anyone using a magic eye with a Pace 1000 Javelin ? If so, are there markings on it that would help in sourcing one ?
Any advice ?
