About to open is the final stretch of the motorway linking the M6 with the M74.

This is the bit the planners forgot, running from just North of Carlisle to the Scottish border.

It finally links London & the South to Glasgow by a continious maotorway, originally this was the A74 known locally as the Cumberland Gap, a notorious accident blackspot. It also has a new none motorway road for those who cannot/don't like to use the motorway, between Carlisle & Gretna. :thumb:

More of interest to motorhomers is the brand new north bound VOSA checking area where they check vehicles for weight etc. This replaces the old one which was very small. The new one is much larger so they could get more of us in. :Eeek:

Don't like the A66 so we always go to Bishop Aukland then up the A68 and A69 when we go to the West of Gods Country. :thumb:

i never read maps or take any notice of where i am...just listen to SWMBO alias TomTom female english:thumb: and do as i'm told (commonsense has priority:ROFLMAO:)
