M5 closed due to overturned Caravan

Is camping allowed on the hard should:mad::love::giggle:er

Even in normal times, I have had far too many car/caravan combinations overtake me on The M5 doing way in excess of 65/70 MPH, Especially the twin axle ones, but the single axles have a far better swagger on.:oops:
Bet many have not even got their tow hitch weight correctly set up, or even torqued up their wheel nuts.
Too much reliance on stabiliser hitches these days also.

you should try France, the first time I was overtaken by a caravaner at over 100 that is MPH not KPH I was shocked, after a while I got used to it.o_O

We are on the move tomorrow, following a self imposed 2 week isolation period after returning from Spain. We have to move to our usual place in Leicestershire and I am dreading it. I know we will be judged as going on holiday

You’ll be fine, we’ve been out in the van several times since the lockdown without a second glance from the general public (or plod)

Dont let some members of this forum see you though ;)

At least Leicestershire isn’t a recognised tourist destination.

We had to move between two campsites last week and fill up on fuel and gas on the way - I was dreading it too expecting to be stopped by the police/abuse etc I sheepishly but loudly explained to the garage teller why in case anyone said anything. It was fine - no one seem to batter an eye at our travels.

Travelling community perhaps if they're in convoy?

People do need to be a bit more tolerant of others and not so judgemental without knowing the facts. Perhpas the OP was correct, or perhaps there was a good reason ..... its just that when the first conclusions are negative ones, it really does indicate a lack of tolerance ...

First reported at 1330 still tail backs now according to updates .highways having a field day to prove a point ?

Mind you it was some convoy
