M20 Weekend Closures

HSE no doubt.

???

They are installing 2 new bridges so I think H&S is quite important

Fair enough but they used to do it one half at a time so that a contraflow can be used instead of a total closure. IMHO not enough account is taken of the impact on the surrounding network when these 'risk assessments' are done.

Life is all about timing.. We will be using the M20... on the 14th .... so will just miss it :-)

Spot on. The problem with leaving the other carriageway open even if it is a half way only bridge is motorists using the other carriageway, anything could, and probably would happen. We are talking of the great careful and considerate British drivers here. Add in a few continental truckers way past hours watching television while driving and you have the perfect storm, even before the wannabe film makers start recording it.

They are installing the bridges across all the lanes, it's a new junction going in.
