Well went and did it, instead of like most folk down sizing we have went bigger !! Problems with my hip meant I wanted an Auto !!
so was down south at the weekend . saw a vert clean and tidy Kontiki 649 low line 3 litre auto with 180 bhp. Umpteen extras fitted by previous owner, sat, solar, extra batteries, tow bar. gas low, the list goes on and on. !!
It's a 2012 with only 8200 miles on it !!
So question is what MPG can I expect to get ?? not a speedster as we are retired and never in a rush !
Any replies will be much appreciated

somewhere between 23 and 28 depends on your right foot generally

23 would be the absolute best we have ever seen

19 - 21 is our norm, but guess it depends on what engine you have, we have a Mercedes

My last Geist had the 3 litre lump but that had a Manual G/Box and we were around 26 most of the time. Your Auto should bring about 24-25 I reckon.

My new 3 litre Merc Auto can't get above 19mpg, but I'd rather that than go back.

not so newbie anymore - since 2016
Our Kon Tiki 699 with the 3L, 180bhp and comfort-matic semi-auto gearbox is currently turning in an average of 23mph. Only 6 months old and 3k on the clock so would hope it will improve slightly as she gets some more miles on her.

Twenty four and a quarter to twenty nine and a half.. MPG...

Depends mainly on how much stuff you carry... and the terrain you are driving on..

I found with my old Rapido and the comformatic 6 speed gear-box..

I got better mileage using the manual side than when in full auto mode...

Just felt I was in control of when to change up or down.. and could use the gears to slow when needed.. (y)

With great respect - it's I think actually more or less irrelevant as a cost of ownership.
It'll be rubbish, but any MH has the aerodynamics of a brick anyway.

Work out the actual annual difference between (say) 23pmg and 28mpg average, over (say) 5,000 miles per year....and many MH's do less miles than that per annum.

Then compare that to it's daily rate of depreciation whether it sits on your drive or is driven.....perhaps £2,000 to £3,000, if not more per annum; then cost of insurance, breakdown cover, servicing costs, cost per night away on any pay-for site.

When weighed against the BIG costs of ownership, a variation in mpg really just isn't a cost factor of any significance.

We just drive till it needs filling up, then fill it up and drive some more.

60 mph (true) in a 3.0 litre manual X250. Don't believe the onboard computer, that tells porkies at 26.5.

Hang on while I look at my watch
My 12 months old Fiat 2.3 130 gets exactly the same figures as the 150 then. Never a lack of power when towing we are really pleased with it. Had my old Autotrail remapped but this one is fine.

Hymer A class, Mercedes 163bhp base with full 7G auto 25mpg found by filling tank and divided odometer mileage, not much in it for the same bodyish size, haven't tried towing anything yet, the engine is starting to free off now so might get better, I keep to 55-60 on the main roads.

We have had ours for 7 months and got 8000 miles up so far it would have been a lot higher now had it not been me not feeling well on our first trip out and coming back home. The fuel consumption is not a lot worse than my old Ford Anglia and Cortinas at 30mpg for maximum speed of 75mph not four ton lorry.
