We were there Tuesday night! There's a warts festival on in the castle at the moment if that's your sort of thing. http://www.ludlowartsfestival.co.uk.

Only problem with site is the walk into Ludlow is along a pavement which flanks an overgrown hedge which pushes you close to the busy road and fast traffic. Oh, and the dog walking area is too far from the pitches for our arthritic and incontinent dog! But otherwise superb facilities.

If your self contained & only need fresh water & a CDP then Little Ledwyche Farm is a lovely c&cc CS only about 20 minutes walk into Ludlow.
Sally is really nice & if you want a hookup (5 on site) it's about£12 a night .
Dog friendly ( and kids if you must:D)
