It’s the carpet out of the bedroom area in the motorhome. We took it out a while ago so thought I’d try using it under the front wheel but it didn’t work. A winch on the motorhome, what a fantastic idea.Is that your foot well mat I see in piccy one?? I have previously given serious though to an electric winch added to the van for such situations but I've forgotten the code for the lock on my purse

Great idea as our motorhome is very unforgiving on wet grassy areas. The grassy area where it was parked was even pretty much level. So glad I have a 4 x 4.Something on the lines of the winches mounted on some trailers or even a loose one you could use when needed such as https://www.waveinn.com/nautique-pe...IZxrGtQM6ugGSTZc8phoCfTQQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds

I had to make the tow rope quite short so thought it easier to wrap it around the towbar bracket on the motorhomeI'm puzzled as to why you didn't put the tow rope on the tow hitch ?

and can cause a whole load of damage when they snapTow ropes generally work as a spring, they stretch first then contract as you put tension on them. I learned that when I was in Highland4wheeldrive club up in Inverness.
I had a TD5 Defender that I used for proper off roading and got into some scrapes with it, all in good fun.
