bp garage just filled up with lpg 15litres £15 safefill. 2 weeks ago had the bulk tank filled at home as part of 2 year deal 34p litre. i am told on petrol that the forecourt only make 3%. seems to sum up the rip off that is endemic in this country
Not the full answer, but the VAT on LPG for domestic use is 5% whereas LPG in the form of Autogas is taxed at 17.1p a litre plus 20% VAT, so your 34p becomes just over 61p before the forecourt adds its markup, and BP as always been an expensive option for Autogas.
It also depends on what the BP forecourt is buying Autogas in at, which may well be higher than your 34p a litre deal.
I understood that liquid take offs were removed because of the potential use of 'domestic' LPG being used to fuel vehicles and avoid paying tax.Surely there would be a way of safely filling up from your household tank?
