Looking to buy
Hi folks, just wondered if it was usual to have the LPG cylinders included when you buy a new motorhome?

When I bought my new van from a well regarded guy (think Torquay'ish) on here albeit at his previous dealership it was all ready to go. Just needed some bedding and food.
How can they do a handover and show u how it all works without gas.
I know times are harder now and perhaps you dont get that quality of service any longer but it was well received.

It would be a very mean and short-sighted dealer who didn’t include at least one gas cylinder…

The first dealer I bought from had a gas cylinder they used specifically for hand over and when finished took it out😊

Or negotiate with them and come to an agreement on refillable cylinders. Maybe you buy them and they fit them?

No. When I bought my second van I took the gas cylinder out of my first van and swapped it to the new one. Had to pay for the first cylinder.

Just getting hold of them is hard enough, let alone getting one free from a dealer. Of course, some come with underslung tanks included. Those that don't can often be specified with refillable bottles.

We asked when we bought ours but were told it wasn't possible unless I specified brand , size , etc so as we had ours from the caravan we just fitted those or would have as they were too big
