And not having to give back gas you have paid for. That really annoys me!
why would you give gas back just use it.
and at our flogas depot they will lift the bottles in and out for you.
so will most garages in spain and portugal.

On and off for many years.

'cos our van only takes a single cylinder in the gas locker and when you aren't sure if the gas will last you need to get a new one before you go to places where you can't get one. I won't carry a gas bottle unless it is in a proper locker. You can also end up with a foreign bottles if you need to get gas when abroad. That's not an issue with a refillable system with European adapters.

They don't lift the bottles in and out for you here :( They just watch you struggle - one of the main reasons I had the refillable system fitted.

Quite a few of the Chaussons only take one bottle - as do a number of PVCs and mini and micro vans.

cant say as i have noticed it . mind when i had a van it was a vw you just used a couple of dumpy bottles or camping gas . and refilled them from bigger bottles .unless in morocco where camping gas was less than a quid to exchange . in 98 it was only 60p ,10dirham .
but dumpy bottles fitted under the seats a treat. even my mazda bongo we used them as well.
