Ok thanksI've got one but couldn't get it to seal properly the one and only time I needed to fill up last year and ended up borrowing one at the petrol station. Don't know if it's faulty. It's brand new. Won't be able to try it again until we go back. The French one is the saucer screw cap.

I found in France that I couldn’t tighten it enough. When the forecourt attendant came out and did it for me it was ok.I've got one but couldn't get it to seal properly the one and only time I needed to fill up last year and ended up borrowing one at the petrol station. Yes I do wear those gloves but still didn’t tighten enough, I must get to the gym more!If you wear some rubberised garden gloves not only will the provide some protection for your hands when fill but also mean you can get a good grip on the adaptors when you fit and remove them.
Try a bit of silicone spray lubricant in the orifice ... it works!Yes I do wear those gloves but still didn’t tighten enough, I must get to the gym more!
