Hi guys
Vehicle service, hab service and Mot done last August (2019). Due to lockdown etc we have only done 800miles in 12 months. This was also due to having 2 european trips in Sept 2018 and June 2019 so both in the same Mot year.
My question is, would you still have annual vehicle and habitation services done? Obviously the Mot will need to be done. Fiat 2.3, 2011 Bessacarr.
Thanks
Paul

The service schedule is only every 2 years normally.

We will get a low mileage Fiat service on the chassis sometime - our MOT was extended from June to December, so instead of the usual June schedule we'll have both jobs done in the autumn.

And since we've got a van conversion that is out of warranty - 4 years old - decided for the first time ever not to bother with a habitation service. We're confident there is no damp and everything works. Added to which, we're always alert to any possible gas leaks.

We went for another interim service rather than comprehensive one recommended by our Fiat garage as we’ve only done 800miles since the last one.

We'll probably not do the vehicle service and get a local guy to do a habitation checkover

I've included this low mileage year in the elapsed time for cam belt replacement as mine is 6 years old. It's going in next week (VW T4 £460) even though the mileage is nowhere near the 50k level advised.
If yours (2011) has a belt and never been replaced I would definitely advise replacement.

Spriddler - Cambelt done 2 yrs ago, tyres all changed 3 yrs ago - 2 of the dearest items to sort.
Both mechanical and habitation services have been carried out every year so seems odd not to have them done, but only 800 miles this year is certainly raising doubts about bothering.

Habitation check I think is worth it ( just in case ) . No need for a vehicle check

I have a 2017 euro6 and with 800 miles in a year i would change the oil and filter the dpf and oil system is particular about contamination. I cant comment how susceptible a euro 5 is. As to hab check i wouldnt bother unless a warranty is dependent upon one being done. Get a non contact damp meter and do it yourself. Ie opposite to other reccomendations
