Just had to pay deposit for holiday apartment in Portugal next year & method of payment had to be bank transfer so shocked by bank fees for this we used Transferwise for the first time with good exchange rate & only £1 fee
Newish scheme backed by Richard Branson. It looks a bit daunting to use at first but their support staff are excellent & easy once you know how. Main tips are to input the IBAN without any full stops & tick the box for a fixed target payment to ensure that your recipient receives the desired amount.
