So there we were, sodding about in the new van outside the apartment, and I decide to see if the old knackered looking 12v tv/DVD works.
Turns it on, slips in a DVD of one of the best films ever ( Top Gun - what else!) and hurrah - it's working.
So, slipping on my chores for a bit whilst watching the film, SWMBO finds me another job and sends me off upstairs to get some more 'stuff'.

When I return, she's only turned the bloody film off

Why did you do that? says I.

There was a lot of beeping, I thought the batteries were low so I turned it off.

Now, under normal circumstances, I guess that would be sensible - BUT IT WAS TOP GUN!

So,I put the film back on.

There it goes again! Says she.

Hmmmmmmm - she clearly doesn't understand what a missile lock warning sounds like :xrofl:
