We have spent the last two days at mains farm just outside the village of Kirkoswald, campsite is superb and loads of room. The owners must be the friendliest we have met, went to the local pub last nice for a lovely meal and few beers with Paul and Leanne, Robert the site owner gave us a lift there and wouldn't take any money so left a pint behind the bar for him. Will add some pics when home tomorrow but would highly recommend for a weekend.

Sounds good, funny how you can miss great sites that are on your doorstep cos they’re “too close” Mind you, we stayed at Dalston Hall site when we had a caravan, I could just about run the hook up cable from my own house
