Does anyone use a lotus grill BBQ, are they any good,
Do you have to use their own charcoal and lighter fluid or can you use any charcoal and lighter fluid

After using various BBQ's we purchased the medium sized Lotus Grill. It only takes 3 mins to be ready to cook, is fairly easy to clean and only uses a small amount of coal. Although expensive we would certainly recommend.

A brilliant piece of kit. Also worth getting the additional cover which provides an oven facility. Big benefit it uses very very little charcoal and best to go for their own brand. The lighter gell is on Amazon. Thumbs up for us!

We have the Aldi version. Lights very quickly easy to clean. Cool outer wall. Cooks enough for two max.
Only stays lit long enough to cook quick stuff eg sausages burgers steaks etc. We like ours.

I have a streetwise version called Yagi Grill, and it's fast, easy to use, dead easy to clean and works with any lump wood charcoal. I use a small amount of ethanol gell to start it off in the first instance, as per the instructions and it cooks very well.
About £50 complete and comes in a handy cylindrical zipped carry bag.
A much copied version of the Lotus Grill, but much cheaper.
Worth a look.

this is the hood which gives more flexibility but does take up more space.

You can do all of those things with the alternative, and much cheaper versions.
I should know, as I have tried, and got very favourable results.
Well pleased and money left over.
