Can't help but wonder whose pockets the increase will line. !00% increase! Is that so that the lottery fund is increased to cope with EU influx and subsequent housing benefit crisis

During a recessionary period - increase the price by 100%. It could only happen in the UK:Blush:

Probabley to help pay for the olympics.
Why can't they have a registration scheme, when you buy a ticket give them your ID and they contact you if you win could be on a voluntary basis if you prefered the football pools can do it why not the lottery.
To many major and minor prizes not being claimed by people loosing tickets, not checking results etc

I'm sorry but I can't vote as there is no option for anyone that doesn't buy any tickets and doesn't care at any price:winky:

Between the devil and the deep blue sea on this one .... We currently play the same two lines twice a week - we've played the same numbers for years. It's quite a hike to £2 a line, BUT, if we were to drop to just once a week on a Saturday, and we saw "our numbers" coming up on the Wednesday.... .... doesn't bear thinking about!!
(But a £25 prize replacing the £10 for 3 numbers? It's tempting to stay as we are)

they will shoot themselves in the foot if they increase it, why do they need to do so isn't multi millions of pound profit enough. Makes you sick.

greed.. pure and simple greed... lets milk it for all it's got.. take the punters for a ride..

We play one line per week, same numbers, on-line account.. that's £4 per month.. I won't be paying eight quid.. so I'll just cancel..

Reckon I will just go back to doing the pools. Don't do the lottery regular anyway so my little bit wont be missed.
Branson (Virgin) offered to run it for no profit but they still gave it to Camelot.
Mebbies they should change the name tp grabelot :roflmto:

No-one has to play the lottery, so I don't care whether the price goes up or not.

    That's absolutely correct..

just as I don't care if they slap £10 tax on a pint of beer or bottle of plonk and just as how non smokers don't care that fags are taxed to the hilt... we all make choices about how we enjoy or money ...

none are required to sustain life..
