Found ad in local paper ( without photo) claimants asked to describe engraving ?
Ask local radio station if they'll broadcast a "found", as above.

Lost my big ( several ounce :-( ) gold buckle ring in Croatia.. Knew where it had come off and pretty sure who found it too.. Shame they were not as honest as you.........
