Loss of power merc 3l auto (1 Viewer)

Just heading down to lake garda....coming down through belgium France I've noticed that when the van gets to about 90-95 there seems to be a restriction on the van and it won't go any faster despite only being on 2.5 k revs.... is this the dreaded turbo issue?

Like all goods viecles over 3.5 ton have 90kph or do you meen miles

Have you by accident set that to 95?
My daughter did that on ours

If you are telling the truth its limited to 150 kmh by the factoty maybe
Mine (car) same engine is factory limited at 200kph

I doubt if the fuel pump can move enough diesel to go much quicker than that.

Is the power ok at lower speeds?
Does it go into limp home mode?
If its only at the top speed I am sure its limited.

When was the last time the fuel filter was changed? Same happened to me (MB 616 cdi) thought the turbo had packed up, mightily relieved when it turned out to be just the filter.

Rory came through lake como the other day. .No worries about getting 100mph through there mate. .well scary experience cm to spare sometimes.. at least your wheel is on the correct side for this Italian lark. ..

This merc is a work of art -was suprised to find out the last owner had set the speed limiter to 95mph took it off and it's cured now. .
