Getting Better
I’m driving down from Roscoff on Tuesday in a car to get to Albir near Benidorm…. I’ve heard there are strikes with the lorry drivers has anyone heard of any difficulties on the roads…?

I would have thought the roads were better if truck drivers are on strike.

Not seen any issues in the Seville area but did see hundreds of lorries protesting in Cordoba on Monday driving very slowly and in convoy. Lots of noise but very respectfully to other road users allowing traffic to move fairly freely. Unlike the UK lorry drivers who gridlocked London during their last protest.
Spanish drivers protesting against the cost of fuel

Local problems only, its causing a few shortages in the shops, mainly Beer, Wine and Spirits....shouldn't cause too many problems for you. ;)

A week or so ago there was a protest slow drive through Murcia, haven't seen anything since...some fuel stations running low, but this is very rare....Have a safe trip....bring a coat.

I haven't seen any issues on my travels but i was surprised at how few trucks i saw, I wasn't aware at the time that they were on strike but that explains there absence.

Nothing to do with uk lorry drivers ,and theres only one reason the spanish are protesting their fleets and jobs are being outsourced to EE drivers .

Not noticed anything here, mind you we are running our suppliers down ready for the rental guests so not been shopping, 😁 seen plenty on the internet with the protests, some factories producing dairy have stopped because it's not getting delivered, some taxi drivers have joined in supporting them, I believe some fishing boats have stopped probably because of transport issues, but then being an ex haulier the way fuel has rocketed something needs doing because many will not survive. 🙂

Our friends in the UK live in Lytham St Annes and she sent this photo yesterday of her trip to lidl. 🤔

🤔 Bob.

Very little evidence of truck drivers on strike here in mid Spain, ie Toledo etc although l did witness two trucks given a Police escort through picket lines yesterday. No queues or shortages evident.

I went to Carrefour today at Bigastro and was surprised at how little milk there was, obviously they are having supply issues.

They where protesting in Seville on Monday and they where causing chaos . There must of been at least 500 trucks coming from every direction we managed to keep in front of them otherwise it would have taken hours and hours to get through the city 🤷‍♂️

Sorry I did not imply it was anything to do with UK lorry drivers, I was pointing out that what we witnessed was respectful to other road users in that they didn't gridlock the roads in Cordoba.
My comments about protesting about fuel costs was based on personally witnessing numerous lorries with placards and banners attached complaining about fuel prices. This was also backed up by a few protesters on the streets.
Maybe you personally witnessed something different on the streets of Cordoba

What's the location Bob?
It's happening all over Spain the first is Lugo, second Barcelona, third Vigo, don't know fourth, the farmers and group's have gathered in towns, some protests have become a bit nasty. 🤔 Bob.

Occasional shortages or no stock here of sunflower oil and flour (these not helped by Ukraine war). Also butter and milk shortages etc. These all seem, at the moment, to be one day there's none and next day loads do there do seem to be intermittent deiveries.
More than can be said of car tyres, however, as just had to wait 6 days for a michelin primacy tyre which was stuck in Madrid due to the strike. As the car doesn't have a spare and the foam gunk is no good on a tyre wall split as this was we were off the road. Eventually it arrived and was fitted on Tuesday - and we managed to blag it on the tyre insurance do it only cost €45 for a new tpms sensor, balancing etc.
Then Wednesday morning Mrs B drove into town and one of the fronts went flat and so we had to have another two as its partner was deemed to be on the wear bar as well and the tyre shop boss said no chance on the guarantee for those two matey so had to stump up €350 odd!
