Looking for one
Exp
Had one for a year or so about 16 years ago.
Hi. I'm new to this forum. I'm looking for a smallish 2 or 3 berth motorhome about the size of a Peugeot boxer van with toilet/shower. (Maybe 19 foot , less than 6 metres in length.)
I have a partner and 2 small dogs, so need a bit of floor space too!
Budget, between £15,000-£20,000.
Help/ideas on suitable practical motorhomes that would be reliable, would be really appreciated! Thanks 😊

We have an Elddis Accordo 105 on a Boxer which is 5.95 or 5.99.
It's 2 berth either as a double or 2 singles - the downside is not a lot of floor space . Although reasonably kitted with interior storage, not much external. The real uptick is the separate shower cubicle and toilet at the rear, rather than the wet room sort of rig. It suits us but we don't have dogs

Thanks for your comment. Appreciated. Need to get out to look at them in person and make notes I guess.

I have an Autosleeper Nuevo on a Boxer base which is 5.4m including the bike rack, 5.2 without.
It is small but perfectly formed!
There is an option to have an overcab bed which means that the bed can be left made-up and the dogs can't get to you 🤣

So glad you found what you were looking for...

I was just about to post a photo of my "newish to me" motorhome which would have been ok size-wise (just under 5 metres) but no good for your price range...

It cost less than half what you had in mind... lol

The older style with the hump over the cab for the bed is less popular now. Folk don't like climbing up there and increased wind resistance so slow and drinks more fuel, if you are fit and do not expect to drive every day could be a bargain.
However, if you are willing to do a little work there are cheap vans out there. Damp issues can be sorted so do not be frightened off a bargain. Five thousand knocked off an asking price can cover a lot of DIY. Watch out for bad gearboxes in the older Ducatos and Boxers, spares are almost non existent now. Faults include bad synchro on 1st and 2nd gear and 5th dropping out of gear. Sadly Covid and staycations mean this is an expensive time to buy any van. Most expect prices to drop once newbies find they do not enjoy motorhomeing, so may be worth waiting a year or two to build up your funds and get a bargain.
