Looking for 1 inch / 25mm metal grommets for curtains

Hello Funsters everywhere. During lockdown I thought I’d make new curtains for the van. Luckily I took all measurements etc pre Coronavirus what I failed to do was look for the 1 inch (internal) metal curtain grommets. They seem to be very very tricky to find and don’t seem to come with a punch etc.

I am stuck with replacing like with like, therefore if anyone has any bright ideas or has overcome something similar I’d love to know.

Try yacht chandlers for 30mm eyelets, I think they may be 25mm internal. Quite a few on eBay. You may have to use a block of wood and a hammer to fix them.

Yes you may be spot on about the hammer and thanks for the chandler suggestion.

Thank you. Unfortunately they are only half inch, I need 1 inch and that’s what’s caused me a challenge but anyway I’ve got some suggestions to follow up on. ?

Thanks Alan, but I’m sorry if looking for eyelets at 1 inch. Today I’ve been advised they are a commercial only item so won’t get them retail. Back to the boring 15 year old curtains for me then!

id be tempted to put rings on the rail and attach normal header tape And hooks. That way you can keep with the new ones. Dunelm mill do the rings.

Thanks. That is an option but I didn’t want to have to replace the nets as well. Thanks to Landy Andy i now have what looks like the perfect solution. Thank you so much for the suggestion though. ?
