Look at this

That's one ugly Motorhome & looks like a caravan inside, I think it's hideous.
It looks like a caravan because it is built from a bailey senator caravan by the look of it

Never drove or pulled a senator but got pulled by the senator many a time in my youth.

So if it is a caravan body it will come apart in any smash.
That depends on how they grafted the caravan body to the delivery truck and if it was reinforced properly. But most likely it will fall to bits on impact, just like the caravan would if hit when being towed. They are not particularly structurally strong

So apart from the OP nobody seems to like it?

Have to say neither do I, sorry.

I can't see anything wrong with it.? nothing that would stop me buying it if it was lhd.

If you Had seen what happens to a motorhome body after a bad smash (I hope you never have to) I have attended three and one caravan all were horrendou. Someone has put a lot of time and effort to convert it and done a nice job from its appearance. Just because someone does not like it , I think its unfair to criticise someone’s pride and joy. I am sure there are a lot of people stuck indoors who would love it.

There are many many man hours on that conversion/build, a true labour of love. As for accident damage, I also have seen far too many. The closed, trade only auctions have them sometimes. They appear to be mega cheap bargains, but the amount of time and cost of parts to repair make most uneconomical. So they go on for parts only

How is the inside of a caravan any different than a motorhome, when most are made by the same manufacturers.

I am no expert on caravan construction but the following come to mind

a) the chassis and body are constructed as light as possible to match the train weights of a family car. The chassis is not designed for carrying goods loads like base vehicles of MHs.

b) In an accident I think the caravan often snakes or jacknives so that it is exposed sideways to oncoming traffic or roadside street furniture, rather than with the weight of the MH engine for protection.

Yes some MH builders also build caravans but I have often seen comments about their MHs that 'they are built like caravans.' I think that most of the more expensive marques of MHs do not build caravans.

There is a reason why it is illegal for persons to travel in a caravan but not in a MH. It is to save lives. When one sees caravans turned into matchwood after a crash one can understand why.

I may be wrong on some of this but it my empirical observation.

Its on an iveco chassis, not the caravan. Its illegal to travel in a caravan as its a trailer. Most motorhomes are turned into matchwood in an accident.

seatbelts for the kids?

I like it, as a two berth it would be fine, obviously the shortage of seatbelts makes 4 berth use impractical.
