Spent a couple of days, just up the road at Notre Dame de Monts last summer.
They have a festival of the wind there. (and No! it's nothing to do with the consumption of Beans or Cabbage)

Love this area of France - make sure you take a trip up to Normoutier. Not sure I’d brace the sea path in a motorhome though - stick to normal roads

St Jeans de Monts and the surrounding areas are a motorhome magnet during the summer period. lots of free aires around the area and close to the sea front, does the one you were on on (I assume you've left) have a bread vending machine outside ?

as you come into St Jeans (depending from which route of course)there are two large supermarkets, Hyper U and Super Marche - they both have waste disposal points and there are usually several motorhomes parked up overnighting there. Probably about a 15 min walk though to the beach.
