Abbey Wood would be my choice good transport links
Both sites are OK, not much to put one above the other - but transport via rail into Central London will probably just be edged by Abbey Wood once the Elizabeth line opens on the 24th May. It's just 7 stops Abbey Wood to Central London (Tottenham Court Road) Direct serviceReally - Crystal palace is 7 miles out of central london and Abbey wood is 15. ???

Just looking at booking with our caravan£600 LEZ FOR US in our motorhome
£24 in our car and caravan
London camping.
We go to London often in our van. Abbey wood (unaffected by the LEZ) Crystal Palace only if like us your van is compliant with emission rules. When you’re there it’s like being in the countryside anyway. London comes in for a lot of stick but in our experience is a great place to go. Museums...www.motorhomefun.co.uk
