Bought Geist Phantom in September. The locks on garage, gas locker etc are tricky to lock. What are my options? Should I replace them or can I add new locks which can be easily fitted on top?

With a bit of googling you should find your locks come from about 3 or 4 suppliers.
Once known you can order replacements.
Eh. My actual lock barrel on the hab door comes from Zadi and can be bought as a replacement.

You have to search using careful selection of search terms to find them, so don't give up too soon.

Tricky in what way?
Sometimes I have found awkward locks have morphed into super easy locks with a bit of ACF50 sprayed into the barrel, e.g. The one on my scooter topbox used to be a real faff - now it's the easiest one to use.

Anything you try to fit on top will not be an elegant solution. Also remember that the outer skin of the door is normally made of aluminum and impossible to screw anything to as its so thin. Bolting anything through the door will just compress the inner core deforming the outer skin.

A lot of these locks are designed in such a way that the builder can fit their own lock barrels depending on how many lockers they have. They use a special key to remove the barrel from the lock. They do the same with the water filler caps and use the same key as the rest of the MH. The special key releases a ward in the bottom of the lock that holds it in place.

Apart from spraying inside lock with a graphite based spray there is not a lot you can do.

If they are the ones you rotate then push down flush it took me ages to realise its easier to push them in and rock them slightly rather than bash them down and probably a lot lower risk of breaking them.
