Hi All,
Last year I was locking on to Hipasat fine with the Oyster but this year nothing. Looking on KingofSat the frequency I was using 12360-H-27500-Fec5 is now only DVB-S2 so I Have tried 12322-H-27500-Fec3/4 which is supposed to be Portugese TV DVB-S but still nothing, has anybody found frequencies that work or another satellite at or near 30W so as to move across to Intelsat 907. Thanks for any input.

We were away till mid November and used Hispasat then move 2.5% worked although the slightest foliage blocked the signal.

Hi All,
Did some more searching and found a Frequency on Hipasat transmitting Russian Stations on 12092-V-27500-Fec3/4 and it locked on straight away then 3 left and two up gets the spot.
Sorry to bother on Christmas Day when I sorted it myself.

Sometimes (in fact many times!) KOS is not always correct...
https://www.lyngsat.com/Hispasat-30W-4-30W-5.html
says 12322 H, that you tried, carries no channels at all...which may explain why you could not lock onto it...

Yet KOS has channels still on 12322, but for example RTP channels moved onto 12360, which are also showing on KOS.

Thanks for that Sean, I could not remember the Lyngsat site so went to KOS, interesting comparing the two as you say KOS seems to have errors as I found but 12092 is working fine, at the moment.
I wonder how long it will be till they all move over to DVB-S2 making our kit obsolete for this purpose anyway.

Steve,

There have been multiple changes made to the Frequencies on Hispasat recently so chances are that the Frequencies stored in the Oyster are out of date.
If you have any further problems please just call me on the office number (01858575928) when you are with the system and I can talk you through updating them.

I can confirm my Oyster Vision II Locked onto Hispasat within 2 mins today using my
frequencies as above. Algarve.

0=10770H 30000 5/6 IQ1
1=10890V 27500 3/4 IQ1
2=12207H 27500 3/4 IQ1
3=12092V 27500 3/4 IQ1

Squire Pete,

Two of the frequencies you have listed above (10770 and 12207) transmit using DVB-S2. The Oyster Vision II only has a DVB-S tuner so it is impossible that it has provided a lock to either of those frequencies. I can only assume that either you are using a Vision III system or that your Vision II is set to search one of the other two frequencies.
The Oyster Vision range has four preset frequencies for each Satellite but only use one of those frequencies at any one time. In order to change which frequency the system is looking for you need to do the following: -
As it's searching press and hold the right arrow to display the current search frequency. Once it's displayed, still holding the right arrow, press the left arrow once to change to the next frequency. Once that is displayed let go and the system will carry on searching.

If you've done that and it's locked on all four then you must have a Vision III system which has the DVB-S2 tuner required to see the DBV-S2 signals. Would be interested to know.

Sorry late in replying. New smart TV arrived Monday!

I have now tested my Vision II system.
Dish went up searching 10890V and locked on, within 2mins.
Sent dish up and initiated search. Changed to 10770H =No lock.
Changed freq to 12207H =No lock.
Changed freq to 12092V Locked within 2mins.
So yes, the two horizontal transponders failed to lock.
