Sure I saw a thread recently where someone replaced the crappy plastic locker retainers with metal ones but cant find it.
You know the type white plastic blade fits in between two plastic jaws to hold the locker doors up when opened. Designed by a sadist who should be made to eat them.
You open the door lock it in place and wait 10 minutes and it doesn't move then the moment you stick your head or arm inside BANG like Ronnie Barkers till it has you. Replaced all mine 2 years ago and they're all knackered again got smashed in the back 3 times in the last week while loading the bike in the garage and once by the gas locker door. If I cant find replacements I'm gonna drill a hole in both parts and use a bent piece of wire to hold em open.

Since 2012 but longer in my dreams
They're all a bit industrial looking,
Some thing a little more subtle perhaps.

The middle one works on a latch release so can't be blown shut.

The metal one is by far the strongest but that's a lot of holes to be drilling in your pride and joy

I can sympathise with you on the plastic ones as those are the same as I've got

I've replaced them a few times too and they're always better when new.

I think they're the best looking of the bunch though and cheap enough to replace

Save yourself a fortune Rory,

Simply import a Philippino girl to travel with you and hold the doors open at every time you need too. Can also double up as a maid for you cleaning and cooking... Jan won't mind (y)

Wouldn't have to be a Filipino - I believe most Russian brides are quite well equipped too and should they drop the door it would bounce back up;)

We had this problem and with Eds hair style it was not good. Bought some plastic suckers specially for the job from the Parrot Man, we have had them on 3 years now never take them off, no drilling and only a couple of Pound as well.

Our lockers have a sprung loaded over-centre thingy which holds them open. Can't see a makers name on them but they don't look expensive.
