Morning,
We are on the banks of Loch Lomond for a couple of nights and it’s cold but so peaceful.
We have a week ahead of us . Can anyone recommend a little route ?
We then need to travel back to Scunthorpe so please don’t send us up to the Highlands and leave us there.
This is all weather permitting of course.

Many thanks,
Kim.

Falkirk Wheel is well worth a visit as is the The Kelpies
Park and train ride to Edinburgh for the day. Quite cheap.
You can wild camp in North Berwick facing out to sea.
Stop off at Berwick on Tweed and onto Whitby for a fish and chip supper.

Isle of Mull - it is a lovely drive there and it is compact enough to see most of it comfortably in 5 days.

Keeping a theme.... Kielder Water to Derwent Water then Hawes would keep you heading roughly towards home. Watch out for snow though!

Safe travels.

Depends what your looking for, if you want more peace & quiet the Dumfries & Galloway would take my vote, Glen Trool & the Galloway forest park is perfect, your never too far from small towns with easy parking to get supplies & you'd pretty much have the place to yourself.
Going this way means your gently meandering your way home, so one less thing to stress about.
You could be back home in about 3hours (depending where in the park you are) when you need to go back.

Have a look at my thread
Scotland and Beyond September
We started from Loch Lomond and not to far up.
If you are still by Loch Lomond have a look at Luss and the signs for the Fairy walk it is a nice walk and not too strenuous.

An interesting thread which we will watch.

We are intending to visit Loch Lomond in two weeks time and will have about ten days to explore the area.
