Hi

Just an enquiry?. Thinking of going to the "pool" haven't been in years, not really since the 70`s. when I sailed from there. What is needed is a site, with access to a Bus/Tram/Rail link into the centre of Liverpool. With SWMBO, not fully mobile yet, and needing her "Scoot". I am not looking to FLT.

Any Suggestions?

I would try the Yatch Club. Other members may be able to confirm that it is still an option. It is very close to the Beatles Museum and ferry ports.

Basingstoke ! LOL !!
No, seriously, really liked Liverpool and want to return sometime
As others have suggested, the Marina is a good place though expensive in the view as it is basically just a car park

Southport CMC, town centre is an easy walk and scoot away. Train station into Liverpool is in centre of Southport. This time of year not too expensive, particularly as the fun fair park is asking a couple quid less With no leccy.

No more at new Brighton banned motorhomes a while ago. Some moved down to opposite Morrison’s now signs gone up there also

Thanks, all. What I am looking for. is Campsites, EHU, (scooter charging). With reasonable access to Public Transport. Maureen is still not fully recovered from last years Fall. So walking more than short distance is as yet not an option. But we are looking for a couple of "short breaks" for the New Year. Southport CMC seems to be favourite so far.

Just back from Xmas at Southport - C&MC site was lovely but at £20+ per night just for me! Also had two nights at Pleasureland at £13pn which included ehu at 16amps. Both are close to the bus depot park and ride. Personally, unless you actually want all the facilities of a club site then Pleasureland is great. Fresh water, elsan, and refuse disposal all there and close to shops and park.

Just had a look, they seem to be well packed in?. CMC site will be £15.40pn (2 up) by the time we go. CMC always hike their prices, high days and holidays I find.?. We used to go to Rowntree (York) for Xmas New year, and that was always more expensive at that time. But thanks for the info. (y)

peter H When I was at Pleasureland there were just 6 vans on!! All the ehu points are along the far fence so probably looks quite packed even though the car park is empty!!
Enjoy your trip.
