Found this place and thought I would leave my comments here for anybody looking for a beautiful stop at €12 a night.
Beautiful location in the Tabernas desert, Great hosts Julie & Thomas who gave us a fantastic welcome and made us feel at ease straight away. The site has a lovely pool, small bar and a little shop selling provisions,Gardens and surrounding area are immaculate, Toilets are spotlessly clean and the showers are amazing best we have come across. Electricity water and grey/black drop inc.in price 10/10

It's called Fort Bravo same as the Film set these days, latter used to just be called cowboy town, you could just wander in and it was practically derelict in the 1970s.

--- far be it from me to say pretty close (3ish km) so I should think it could be; or to venture to suggest it may have been called Little Texas in the first place owing to the famous Paella Westerns filmed nearby .....

We stayed at the site a little further away in Early March and we could hear the cars and bike doing circuits most days, so imagine it’s the same there or worse there is also a stone quarry very close that had huge blasts at least once a week whilst we were there.
But it’s still a lovely place to go.😊

We stayed there for 3 or 4 nights back in February, every now and then you caught the sound of the Bike engines at the Almeria race track just over the hill

Lovely hosts, will definitely call in when that way again:cool:

But you can see these and views like this

Cabras LOL - years ago used to drive past the back of the beach at Genoveses through the prickly pear plantation to the next beach (where part of The Lion in Winter was filmed) and there were always goats as far as the eye could see. I never said the scenery wasn't stunning!

Sedge thanks for all your input  The place is called little Texas because the owners lived in Texas an it seemed the right name for the area.
As for noise it’s motorbikes and we love them! The area beautiful and the sites well maintained and loved.

Thank you i do realise that however as I said earlier they are not ordinary are they? And lovely to see beautiful creatures running wild.
Just to clarify, I suppose in hind site I should have said they are not domesticated goats but Wild Ibex.
My point was you can find these up in the surrounding hills and mountains of Tabernas.😊

Don't think that there will be much of that greenery there now!

Love the area, spent many months at Los Escullos in the past, the drive up from Almeria city on the A92 to Granada is spectacular, like a moonscape in places.
Yes we love that area it’s so wild and different we much prefer that to the costas.😊
