Hello funsters

just wanted to pull on collective knowledge

here’s the question are lithium batteries that have Bluetooth mearly a gimmick or not worth bothering with if you have something like a smart shunt fitted

I’ve also heard that if it’s a 200ah with Bluetooth it in reality is more like 150 of actual usable power rather than 200ah

any thoughts would be great fully recived.

I have a Victron battery monitor with bluetooth and don’t feel any need for the battery to have one as well.

Ive got the 200ah polinovell bluetooth version and I still have my victron bluetooth smart shunt from previous lead install and MPPT etc, they work alongside each other and I find the battery one on my phone to be as accurate.

10% of lithium is the commonly talked about offset so more like 180ah.

They dont suffer from the Peukerts effect so in theory you can fully discharge them, but you will get a lot longer life if you only partially discharge and also dont fully charge all the time.
