We are traveling down to Lincoln show on Wednesday and wondered if anyone knows somewhere we can park up for the night within 50 miles of the show ground

If you are in the C&CC the THS at Epworth finishes on Thursday and there is one near Market Rasen until the 25th. Also a meet at Ferryboat Farm Fisheries, Old Denaby.

There are lots of CS's and CL's dotted around the Lincoln Area, depending on which club you belong to (C&CC or CC). If you want to park for free (condition is to buy a meal in the pub) then the Unicorn at Gunthorpe on the banks of the River Trent comes recommended.

The pub looks good don't need the facilities of a campsite menu look reasonable is it a large car park as we are towing our smart car for the first time bikes are redundant now due to disabilities

There is a big car park at the rear and another at the front. If you want to wake up with a view of the Trent from your window then the front. Check with da management.

We are actually at Unicorn, arrived last night and really impressed. Lovely meal and reasonable price and parked by river. Although large car park at front by river don't think you could park or manoeuvre with towed vehicle - spaces not long enough. Not sure about back car park as not seen it but I think back car park is for hotel guests as we were asked after meal which car park we were in & when said at front they said that's alright. I did phone ahead but they thought I wanted hotel room! Don't think bothered about notice & in fact in Brit Stops book no symbol for phone ahead. There is a Rapido here as well & think only space for 5 vans as spaces at v front by river only suitable for vans.

Do you think it would be possible to unhitched the trailer and leave it in the back car park or if there is space at the front put it next to us

How eerie was just about to post here that we have just seen an enormous twin axle A class m'home come out of the back car park after night stop there so ok for there. Depending when u arrive how many cars are in front car park it would be possible to unhitched and park( empty now and we arrived 6.30pm last night and although lots of cars there was space then in faded disabled spaces & pub said no probs parking there. The front car park obv has lovely views but if not poss back car park fine. Hope to see u later!
