    I am SO pleased...

My darling daughter is contemplating going full time motorhoming/festival going from next year and is in the process of buying this wonderful, historic truck...

The back will probably have to be transferred to a slightly newer chassis cab as the current cab is slightly worn out (1972)!

She has some land near Bristol to put it on and several friends with the necessary skills and equipment to do the work on it...

I am feeling a tad envious of their youth and energy!

The plan is to come over and hang out here for part of the year.

    That's my girl...

For anyone who wants to know more about the truck and its previous owner...

Awesome. I seem to think I may have seen it at a festival somewhere in the past. I hope it works out for her.

Those old Bedford TK's are great - so simple and easy to fix, and have great character. Good luck to her!

1972 equals tax exempt as well I would not be in a hurry to change it. Get it fixed instead.

Thanks for the link JJ - love reading about these interesting people. Friend of mine has moved to west Wales and has met so many people who have chosen to leave the mainstream and adopt an alternative lifestyle.
Good luck to your daughter.

It might be a tad worn out but a bit extreme to pile logs under it (pic 1) and then torch it (pic 3)
Wish here all the best and hope to see it at a festival sometime soon.
