Hi all

For those of you without day running lights in the more mature vehicle like me, then when driving in Switzerland you must have your headlights on day and night.

I found out this afternoon and it cost me 40 euros as I did not have 40 swiss francs.

Even if your not going if anyone you know says they are even thinking about going please tell them.

No eating out tonight now, just crisps and cheap vino.

What was that about harmonisation?

Same here in Croatia ;) I would say it reduces accidents because they over take you anywhere.
When I rode motorcycles I always had my lights on. (y) Bob.

I am inclined to agree. There were two officers under the bridge between roundabouts (cooler in the shade). I remarked on the number of Swiss registered cars without lights but you can only do one at a time each.

Of course all new cars have been fitted with day running lights for years so not a problem for them. Had I been driving my Volvo then I would not have been stopped.

Live and learn.
