We have an inflatable drive away awning - easy to put up as long as you don't try to do it for the first time when the wind is storm force (they make a great kite).
Being a drive away model, the light on the side of the van is not much use, we have used a rechargeable table lamp which works quite well but ends up with lots of shadows. So, has anyone tried using rechargeable striplights?

Amazon list some as "56LED Motion Sensor Closet Light" which would probably do the job and be light enough to hang from the air beams.

Any other options spring to mind?

I have a cigarette plug/long lead and some LED module spread out. You can near get a sun tan.

That's a good option thanks, we have tried the 240v extension out of the van with various gadgets and lights plugged in but I don't really like the cables trailing about
