I'm looking for some battery powered lighting for brightening up the inside of my camper van could somebody help.

If you have 12 volts available where you want it, I can recommend these which you can find on Amazon.

You can also buy LED lights like this, but which charge from USB. I got some of those first, but I did find that they didn't stay charged for many hours, so they were better for occasional lighting needs rather than full-time. Also the micro-usb charging socket was a bit finicky, one of them eventually wouldn't make contact. But if you can't wire into 12v they are a solution. I don't have a link because I bought mine in a shop, amazingly.

I would only ever fit LED lights now and there is a huge range of choice. How bright do you want it is the first question, as they generally come in a couple of brightnesses, the highest being like sitting in the dentists chair and the lowest a more yellow light

Don't over do it. These new LED light can be very bright, also I would only recommend warm light bulbs.
