Hi Guys - CAMC have a 10% discount through Tanya batteries and I'm thinking of buying 2 of the above batteries. On what I have researched so far they appear to be the best of the 3 brands they sell. Has anyone purchased this brand and if so how have they performed?

Many thanks.

I have a Relion RB100 which I am very pleased with but no experience of Lifos. I believe Lifos use prismatic cells compared with the cylindrical ones used by Relion. When I was choosing my battery I don’t think Lifos were available but anyway my preference was for cylindrical cells. I would suggest trawling the internet for current thinking on cell technology and brand comparisons.

Like the marketing but like yourself would like feedback from a real user.

Did look closely at the smaller 68Ah but the max watt draw was too low so forgot about it. I liked the built-in Bluetooth monitoring app which avoided additional kit and in theory the fact that it was a dropin replacement ( ie. no need to change chargers).

One other similar product is the ksenergy.co.uk product, which looks better documented.

I haven’t bothered to change my mains charger which does not have an Li setting, it may very slightly under charge (14.3V) but this does no harm to LiFePO4 batteries. When you are on mains hook up who cares if the battery is a few % below full. Where I think the drop in claims are less reliable is in respect of engine charging and I have fitted a B2B. I like the look of the KS Energy battery and that one might well have been on my shortlist.
