I think I know the answer but could I ask, please, how long toilet chemicals stay active in the cassette ?
I recharged the cassette 2 weeks ago and used the Motorhome 2 days ago.
Suffice it to say the contents were not as I would expect when emptying.

I guess you need to put the chemicals in just the day before you use it and they stay active for 4 or 5 days.

Would anybody just confirm please.

If you use the blue stuff I would imagine it’s active all the while, there are some powerful chemicals in that stuff.

Depends on what you use. Bio wash liquid which is what I use is fine for quite a few days, even weeks if use is minimal , the blue stuff is quite volatile from its smell so I would not expect it would be active for long.

There are pretty nasty chemicals in Bio washing liquid too but for some reason people seem to think it's ok (n)

Most suppliers of toilet chemicals say to add more in hot weather and after time .

On and off for many years.
Personally I think emptying is a better solution. And dosing then before travelling

Yes, that is what we do. We empty the cassette (as long as it has been used!) whenever there is the opportunity and always before the van is "laid up". It is primed before the next use :)
